Mocanii of Sacele are sheep owners and shepherds. In the summer the shepherds take their sheep up in the mountains, and they winter in the plains, usually Dobrogea or along the Danube Valley. However, the rich sheep owners, during winter stay home, enjoy life, and dress following some of the latest fashion. The actual shepherds take care of the sheep and usually they dress in traditional folk costumes.
Today, Scheii Brasovului is a neighborhood in SW Brasov. Until about 1900 most of Brasov inhabitants were Saxons. At that time Scheii Brasovului was located outside of city fortified walls and was inhabited mainly by Romanians. In 19 century they already wore mainly town style clothes. For festive occasion women wore commercial silk jackets and long skirts; silk head scarf similar to Sacele and metal belts, Aromanian style paftale

Târnava





Tarnava Bride's headdress consists of a cylinder about 2" high covered all around with little metal plates. Each 1"x1" plate is adorned with a precious stone. The lower end of the cylinder (forehead) is trimmed with a string of gold coins (or silver or cooper, depending on one's wealth.) The upper part of the cylinder is filled (like a flower pot) with peacock feathers or silk flowers.

Until 1900 Sebes has been an important commercial and somehow a fashion ceter. In medieval times Sebes had many guilds.
The bride wears a crown of artificial flowers and a "veil' of 24 colorful ribbons, mostly red-yellow-blue, the color of the Romanian flag.
